From the local to the national level, TAC provides policy leadership, technical assistance, and expert consultation to government agencies, policymakers, advocates, foundations, and service providers.
The TAC website was built on Umbraco, an open-source CMS that required a high level of technical knowledge to update the website. As the TAC team began to experience turnover, they realized the importance of having a website that was easier to manage by less technical staff members. Additionally, as an organization that served communities in distress, it was imperative their website better adhere to accessibility standards.
We worked with TAC to rework their sitemap to help better communicate their services and make content easier to access. We also needed to elevate and update the interface design for two of their most trafficked resources (Priced Out and Vouchers Database) while still making it simple for internal staff to maintain on a regular basis within the Wordpress dashboard.
Social Driver launched the website and passed WCAG 2.1 AA standards with flying colors. The modern look-and-feel has garnered positive feedback from both internal and external stakeholders alike. Two members of the TAC team have told us, “You've given us a stage that will inspire us to create quality content and programming that stands up to it.” Social Driver is continuing our partnership with TAC by providing maintenance with ongoing SEO and accessibility audits.
