The Driver Foundation gave back to the communities where Social Driver team members live, and supported the causes most important to them through a series of microgrants. Social Driver  team members were invited to submit the nonprofit of their choosing to receive a $100 microgrant.

“We value our team members and the causes that are most important to them. By empowering the organizations that are doing great work in their communities, we are helping them make a difference on the issues they care most about,” said Thomas Sanchez, CEO and Founder of Social Driver.

“Helping women find safe housing in my community is important to me,” said Social Driver Visual Designer Ashley Garrett, who selected Lydia Place, which helps individuals and families experiencing homelessness in Bellingham, Wash., to receive a donation.

Social Driver Social Media Specialist Dana Riddlemoser selected Mission 22, a nonprofit focused on helping veterans heal. “I wanted to support our military members by dedicating this donation to assist in their goal of helping veterans with treatment for post-traumatic stress disorder and traumatic brain injury,” Riddlemoser said.

Other nonprofits that received microgrants include Girls Who Code, American Diabetes Association, America Foundation for Suicide Prevention, Black Women's Health Imperative, COPD Foundation, Gamers Outreach Foundation, Paws with a Cause, and World Central Kitchen.
