At SXSW EDU 2024, Thomas Sanchez, Founder and CEO of Social Driver, participated in the panel discussion titled "AI: Avoiding the Next Digital Divide." The session explored the intersection of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and education equity, focusing on its impact on students of color and those from low-income backgrounds. 

Sanchez emphasized the importance of designing AI tools that reflect the broad cultural and neurodiversity of student populations. He advocated for inclusive content and culturally aware pedagogy to ensure AI serves as an equalizer in education. His insights highlighted the need for collaboration among educators, developers, and policymakers to prevent AI from becoming a new digital divide.

The panel also featured insights from Dia Bryant of The Education Trust, Kristen DiCerbo from Khan Academy, and Kevin Starks of T-Mobile, offering diverse perspectives on leveraging AI to promote educational equity. 

Sanchez's contributions underscored his commitment to fostering inclusive innovation in education, aligning with Social Driver's mission to create positive social change through technology.
