At Social Driver and The Driver Foundation, people are at the center of everything we do. We believe that diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) are crucial values that should guide every organization's work, and we're committed to putting those values into practice. That's why we're proud to support the Foundation for Public Affairs' Hogans Fellowship program.
The Driver Foundation has long supported the Foundation for Public Affairs. This year, support was designated specifically for the Foundation's new signature program, the Hogans Fellowship. This prestigious program focuses on retaining and advancing emerging leaders in the public affairs profession, providing fellows with mentorship, networking opportunities, and training for leadership roles.
“We’re proud to support the Foundation for Public Affairs’ work to create a more equitable and inclusive public affairs industry,” said Anthony Shop, cofounder of Social Driver and The Driver Foundation. Shop serves on the board of the Public Affairs Council, and as a member of its Social Impact committee, which developed the fellowship in conjunction with the Foundation for Public Affairs.
The Social Driver team congratulates the incoming cohort of 2023-2024 Hogans Fellows. These 12 talented individuals were selected from nearly 100 applicants, each bringing unique skills to help strengthen the profession.
“We’re delighted to work with the twelve outstanding people in our inaugural Hogans Fellowship cohort, each of whom I expect to have bright futures in the field of public affairs,” shared Amy Meli, Senior Director for Public Affairs Council.
The Hogans Fellowship is named after Mack Hogans, the first Black Board Chair of the Council and a legacy corporate executive. The program supports emerging leaders from diverse backgrounds in the public affairs profession with a year-long cohort program that provides skills training, mentoring, and networking opportunities. We believe that investing in emerging leaders from diverse backgrounds is critical to creating an inclusive culture. By supporting the fellowship, we’re honoring Hogans’ legacy and helping to create a more just and equitable industry.
At Social Driver, we believe that putting people at the center of our work means prioritizing DEI and investing in the next generation of emerging leaders. Our support of the Hogans Fellowship through the Driver Foundation reflects those values, and we’re honored to be a part of such an impactful initiative.
