WASHINGTON, D.C.–Nov. 12, 2015–Social Driver (www.socialdriver.com), a digital firm focused on social-fueled strategy that drive results, has been named “Supplier of the Year” by the National Gay & Lesbian Chamber of Commerce (www.nglcc.org).
“We are honored by this recognition,” says Thomas Sanchez, co-founder and CEO, Social Driver. “At the outset of our firm five years ago we made a strategic decision to embrace all the diversity that exists today, both as a supplier and an employer. Simultaneously, we looked to partner with clients, often larger, that already were embracing such thinking…these forces came together like magnets and have powered our growth.”
Social Driver, named the 7th fastest growing marketing agency in the United States in The Agency Post’s Agency 100 ranking, was the highest ranking company that is either LGBT-owned or minority-owned, and topped the list for the Mid-Atlantic region.
The NGLCC’s LGBT Supplier of the Year award recognizes an exemplary certified LGBT business enterprise for its success in doing business with corporate America, and for outstanding contributions to the growth and development of LGBT supplier diversity. In addition, the business must have a proven track record of positive benefits from certification, including, but not limited to, educational opportunities realized, hiring of new staff, expansion of the business, growth in client list, and/or work with NGLCC and corporate partners to further the mission of the NGLCC Supplier Diversity.
Social Driver will accept the award at the NGLCC annual dinner Fri., Nov. 20 at the National Building Museum. U.S. Sec. of Housing and Urban Development Julián Castro will provide remarks at the event.
